Our Story
For almost ten years, April Murray, the original founder, owned and operated Main Street Cake with care and precision. When April sold the business in 2017, Main Street Cake's well established reputation provided the perfect opportunity for the next generation of bakers.

The bakery was purchased by Erin, who started baking at the age of 14 and later graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. For the next year and a half, she and her family operated Main Street Cake with an ongoing commitment to the recipes and traditions that April had started. They decided to sell the business in 2019.

The bakery was then purchased by Holly and Greg. Partners in life and after 30+ years in medicine and science, decided to pursue the American Dream of owning their own business. After roughly 6 years of masterfully serving the community of Burlington with their delicious cakes and creations, they decided it was time to sell and retire.

The new owners, Brent and Jonah, brothers who spent the last 30+ years going down separate paths. Came together 7 years ago to help their mother open a small bakery in Alhambra, California. They successfully ran that bakery for the next 7 years, selling custom cakes, wedding cakes, and their mothers specialty recipe "Carrot Cake." Left California for North Carolina and found Main Street Cake. They are thrilled with the opportunity to serve the local community, keeping what Main Street Cake is known for, while adding some specialties of there own.
